Retrieve / Generate your API key from ShipStation > Settings > Automation > API settings.
Username: API KEY
Password: API SECRET KEY
Copy-paste that in Magento > System > Sales > Shipping Methods > Shipstation.
PS: do not use your ShipStation login credentials in there, it's not the same thing.
